The website of the Microsoft Dynamics Community has been completely redesigned. There is a new look, forums are redesigned, it is supporting a mobile-friendly interface, there are monthly leaderboards, and more. The Microsoft Dynamics Community is a website where you can find community contributions, ask questions and interact with Microsoft Dynamics experts.
Many experts in the Microsoft Dynamics areas AX, CRM, GP and NAV share their knowledge on a voluntary base and answer your questions. The site can be found here: community.dynamics.com. This post will tell you some of the new features on this site. If you want to learn more, visit the site and become a member if you are not yet registered at this site.
First of all: The site been completely redesigned to have new a more modern user experience which is also good to use on tablets and mobile devices. The forums, blogs, etcetera do all have new styles.
Members of the Microsoft Dynamics AX group had a little pain in the past where the community required to have the site added to Internet Explorer compatibility view and Lifecycle services running on the same domain not. So they had to switch the settings to be fully compatible on the features. This compatibility view mode is not needed anymore.
A new syntax highligher has been added in the forums to have a better layout and visual support for coding.
The badges have been redefined. There are now monthly leaderboards. This makes it for new members easier to compete against members active for longer periods. Lifetime leaderboards will be available for overall points, forum activity, and blog activity. This will allow established members to continue competing. The leaderboards also span all product communities. A new dashboard menu available at the top of the page provides you access to important badges and your current placement in leaderboards.
Also on the top navigation bar you have an indicator for Notifications.
On a single page you can now also find all information needed for support. You can start asking a question or find contact details and links for other assisted support.
There is more…
Microsoft people invested a lot in the new site and would love to hear your feedback about everything; The awesome, the good, the bad and the ugly. You can use the Feedback forum on the site.
