Just recently, I shared a teaser on LinkedIn about a project I was working on. As a user of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, you are limited to 6 different startup pages to be set up, where there is often a question for adding your own or other workspaces. A few weeks ago, I came across a question on the Dynamics Community where it was asked to add new options as initial page. I did look at the details, and provided a workaround. I didn’t stop thinking for another solution. Usually, when you add a menu item to a privilege and set the correct permissions, the user will be able to open the form linked to the menu item. However, it is not a guarantee that you would be able to open the form as there is another prerequisite in the security framework in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
