Combined capacity reporting

As of December 1, 2025, Microsoft applied new storage capacity rules for Dynamics 365 apps, resulting in an increase in entitlements and the consolidation of capacity for Dataverse and the Dynamics 365 F&O. In this post, I will share how Microsoft is now also including the Operations consumption in the capacity reports on the Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC).

Storage capacity

In the last post on the Dynamics 365 license enforcement, I wrote about the Storage capacity. At that time, the combined storage was not included in any capacity report, leaving organizations with some confusion. Microsoft was working on including the Operations part in the new Dataverse capacity report, but it was not available to us. I had seen mockups in a meeting.

I now noticed that the combined capacity is available in preview. You can use the link https://admin.preview.powerplatform.microsoft.com/billing/licenses/dataverse/overview to get a glance of the new upcoming report. Note that you can add the word preview in the URL to switch from the released admin center to a preview version.

For Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations consumption, this is listed as Operations in the capacity usage report. In the graph on the right side, this is included with yellow bars.

The Dataverse storage entitlement is at this moment higher on the preview version. Also, the entitled total capacity is now incorrect. As an example in this tenant, the total database entitlement should be 210 GB. Now it is displayed as 210 + 180 = 390 where some of the consolidated capacity is treated as individual product capacity. I trust Microsoft is still working on the correct reporting.

At the bottom of the page, you can see the Operations consumption per environment on specific tab pages.

In other areas, such as the Environments page, the Operations information is not included (yet).
