Dynamics AX 2012 R2 – Cumulative Update 8 (CU8) released

As announced earlier, Microsoft released the CU8 cumulative update for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 (KB3042171). The version number of this release is 6.2.2000.14. So there is a cumulative update 8 for both AX 2012 R2 and AX 2012 R3 available. Due to the differences between R2 and R3 also the cumulative update 8 has differences between these versions.

Error on ‘Show all fields’ in AX 2012 R2

Recently I was surprised by an error which I did never encounter before. A feature was working all the years I have worked with the Microsoft Dynamics AX product. Exchange rates “unlimited”

Within Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 it is possible to download exchange rates from providers who offers online download files. Out of the box three service providers are available, also the European Central Bank exchange rates. The standard service as developed for AX 2012 R2 has a limitation to download the rates from the last 90 days. For a conversion we needed older rates. But is it possible to download them?
