The Microsoft Dynamics team is continuously improving their solutions. We read a lot about new features from a functional perspective and some expected platform updates to unify and simplify the experiences of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations with Dataverse and the Power Platform. Some investments, like the new grid control, saved views and a new HTML editor control, are announced in the release plans. One development extension is not announced, but appeared as preview in the options for form controls: the Progress status chart control. Personalization is one of the key features to be able to tweak the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations to the preferences of individual users. It will even help them to be more productive. Some personal options, like the language and date, time and number format can be managed on the User options page. This is also the page from where Usage data can be cleared. Quite often, some predefined values need to be controlled by a system administrator. Or in case of certain issues, an administrator would need to review and reset certain usage data. In this blog post, I will share a workaround to update or delete records in different legal entities when using the Fin & Ops Apps connector. This connector can be used with Microsoft cloud services: Power Automate, Power Apps, and Logic Apps. When the records to be updated or deleted are not part of the default company of the user, you will get an error “No resources were found when selecting for update”. Dynamics 365 in Teams

Do you want to use Microsoft Teams for collaboration between different department members where also Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations processes will play a role? In that case, you would want to be able to interact with data and business logic from Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. There are options to create apps with Dataverse for Teams or other Teams apps, like the Human Resources app provided by Microsoft.
