Microsoft released a preview of the upcoming release of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations version 10.0.38. When reading through the What’s New section and checking out the new records in Feature Management, I found one particularly interesting feature called Bulk editing in grids. Read moreFor a while now, Microsoft has been offering a service for process mining and task mining. In Power Automate there is a Process Mining tool embedded. Process mining can help with e.g. finding bottlenecks or errors in processes or making measured decisions on what tasks could be automated. While I have my main focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, process mining is a very interesting event analysis tool that can help many ERP customers. After giving some presentations about this topic, I thought it would be useful to share my knowledge on my website. This will be my first post about the Process Mining tool, but I will add more posts in the future on this topic looking at it from the angle of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.

For several years, Microsoft does have a dashboard with new and enhanced features that can be enabled by administrators to first evaluate the added value or impact on the current implementation. This will give organizations some time to choose when to enable new features. Features can also be turned on by default as a decision by Microsoft or made mandatory at a specific point in time. As mentioned in my previous blog about feature management, some features are like a black box, even with documentation provided by Microsoft.
